In the meantime, the following is some brief information about our piano moving services.
1st Rate Movers only moves vertical (upright) pianos and only if a proper piano skid can be used.
We will only move pianos if there are less than 6 stairs involved at either location.
The piano must remain upright. We will not place a piano on it's end in any case.
We charge flate rates to move pianos if they are the only item being moved.
During the course of a regular move, surcharges will apply in addition to the hourly rate.
Typically the surcharges are as follows:
$75 for moving an apartment-size piano (spinet) - 36" to 38" tall; 58" wide
$100 for moving a regular upright piano (console) - 40" to 43" tall; 58" wide
$150 for moving a tall or full upright piano (studio) - 45" to 48" tall; 58" wide
$200 for moving an upright grand (upright proper) - 50" to 60" tall; 58" wide
